— Final Arrangements

Closing well.

The estate is winding down — but for the horses still on the property, and the buyers who take them home, every commitment we ever made stands. This page is what that looks like in practice.

— What we will still do

For the buyers of our remaining horses.

01 · Transport

We will see every horse to its new barn

Road and air transport for every horse leaving the property — domestic or international — coordinated by us and, where possible, paid for by the family. Our network of carriers in the Netherlands, Germany, and the East Coast is unchanged. The horse arrives the way it left: in the same hands, on the same standard.

  • Domestic road transport in the continental US
  • Air transport AMS / LGG → MIA / JFK / LAX
  • USDA quarantine handled end-to-end
  • Family covers transport for placed horses where possible
02 · Records & History

Every paper, every file, transferred in full

When a horse leaves us, you receive everything: KFPS papers, vet records back to the foaling year, inspection notes, breeding files, blood panels, dental and farrier history, and the names of every trainer who has ridden the horse. Nothing is held back. We are closing — there is no reason to.

  • Full KFPS / FPZV registration transferred
  • Vet records from foaling to present
  • Inspection notes and breeding files
  • Trainer history and competition record
03 · Buyer Aftercare

The one-year support stands

Every horse we have ever sold came with a year of aftercare — phone calls, video reviews, in-person check-ins. That commitment is honoured in full through 2026, and to whatever extent we are able beyond. The phone line is still open. Pick it up.

  • Unlimited phone and video support, twelve months
  • Two in-person check-in visits in year one
  • Network introductions to trainers we trust
  • Past buyers: the line remains open
04 · Pre-Purchase Coordination

Independent pre-purchase exam support

If you are buying a horse from us, we welcome your vet onto the property at any time. Imaging, bloods, the full ten-stage exam — your vet, your lens. We will be present if you would like us there, and absent if you would prefer. We have nothing to hide and nothing to rush.

  • Your vet, your protocol — no exceptions
  • Imaging suite on-site, radiographs included
  • Sale contract review at no charge
  • Second opinions encouraged, not resented
05 · The First Months

Settling-in support, on us

Friesians are individuals. The first three months in a new home tell you whether you have got the match right. We will be on the other end of the phone for every question — feeding, behavioural, training, vet, farrier. If something is not right, we will help you fix it. That has always been our standard. The closure doesn't change it.

  • Feeding programs tailored to your facility
  • Transition behaviour Q&A, weekly if needed
  • Trainer referrals in your region
  • Three-month check-in at no cost

— What we no longer offer

Honest about
what has ended.

We would rather tell you than have you find out by sending a message that goes unanswered.

  • New breeding bookings — the 2026 stud book closed in spring 2025
  • New training horses — we are no longer accepting outside young horses
  • New boarding contracts — all current boarders are being transitioned to other facilities
  • Imports for sale — we are not bringing new horses onto the property
  • Stallion approvals — our standing stallion, Hessel, was retired in 2024
